Vinanibe Lodge
Lake Vinanibé, 10 km west of Fort Dauphin, is a site of natural, as well as historical, interest. The lake is separated from the sea by a splendid white beach, bordered by sand dunes. On the sea shore, a surfing spot often provides excellent surfing conditions, but requires a fair level of practice. The remains of the Tranovato, a 16th century Portuguese fort, can be visited on the Santa Cruz Islet, at the lake's mouth.
